Robbie Pfunder’s Mountain Bike Trials Stunt Show

Daily Grounds Act!

Imagine mountain biking taken to skill levels that looks like magic. The Mesa County Fair is thrilled to present Robbie Pfunder at the 2019 Mesa County Fair in Grand Junction, Wednesday, July 17th through Saturday July 20th! Dazzling, educating and entertaining audiences of all ages, Robbie Pfunder’s Trials Stunt Show takes the physics-defying technicality of parkour, and combines it with something we can all relate to: the simple joy of riding a bicycle.

Robbie says “Transplanted from New England to Colorado, my lifelong passion for mountain bike trials has blossomed into something that I’m thrilled to share. Whether it’s entertaining a crowd for a day, or giving one kid a dream to pursue, I feel like I’m doing something deeply worthwhile.”

Robbie has preformed in more than one thousand shows across the country. He has been riding for eighteen years and was a four time Mountain States Trials Champion. He was ranked 2nd overall in North America in 2012, and placed in the 2001 World Championships.

A favorite at fairs across the country, Robbie engages his standing-room only crowds in a high-energy, engaging act not to be missed!

The Great American Duck Race with Robert Duck – Daily Grounds Act!

New for the 2019 Mesa County Fair, we are excited to present Robert Duck and The Great American Duck Race, Wednesday, July 17th through Saturday July 20th!

Robert Duck (his real name!) started racing ducks in New Mexico in 1980 on a whim because, with a last name like his, he thought he should give it a try. After winning over $50,000 in prize money, he sold his farm and took his act on the road. Every year, Robert and his wife patiently train 100 new ducks. He keeps the 25 fastest of his feathered friends for co-stars, and the rest he releases back into the wild.

Hands on Fun:

Sixteen children (and adults) are chosen during each show to release the ducks in the race track. Prizes are given to the winners of each race. There are five races during each show, and the last is a championship race among the first four winners.

Mr. Duck reveals interesting facts about Mallard ducks throughout the show. The educational portion of the show was prepared by the Ducks Unlimited, Inc. national staff, exclusively for the Great American Duck Race of New Mexico.
