We’ve celebrated more than 125 years of Fair fun with the Mesa County community, growing each year and offering more fun entertainment for the entire family.

The first Mesa County Fair was held in 1887 at what is now Lincoln Park.

The Fair moved to its permanent location in the 1950s and has become the largest Fair in Western Colorado, with more than 50,000 people attending.

From our world-class Carnival to our 4-H Exhibits, we are dedicated to continue our rich history.

With the help of the late Kathy Jordan, we produced a timeline of the Mesa County Fair from its beginnings in 1891. The timeline has been on display at the Mesa County Courthouse and is sometimes a feature at the Fair in July.

You can view the great pictures used in the timeline – and a few that didn’t make it – showing the deep roots our agriculture community has in our area below.
